Wye Dene, River Wye
Former Watercress Bed
At this former watercress bed the river was over widened and silty. New causeways were created to define the channel, along with new / enlarged marginal shelves. Tree work was carried out to reduce shading of the channel. An old concrete weir, which had been a barrier to fish movement, was also removed.
This project was delivered in partnership with Chiltern Rangers, and had a strong community volunteering component.
