Find out more about the SmartWater research project happening in the Chess!
SmartWater is an international national research programme with the aim of “Diagnosing Controls of Pollution Hot Spots and Hot Moments and Their Impact On Catchment Water Quality”. It is a partnership programme of institutions including Birmingham University, Imperial College London, the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, and the Environment Agency. For more information visit their website here –
The River Chess is one of three catchments that are being used as case studies, within the wider context of the Thames Initiative Research Observatory. In this citizen science evening, we will hear from some of the SmartWater members on their findings so far.
This free public talk is open to everyone – whether you are a citizen scientist wanting to find out more about how your data is used, if you are interested in getting involved, or if you just want to hear more about rivers!
