“If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.” – Vincent van Gogh

Join us for a relaxing sketch-walk along the River Misbourne in Old Amersham. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop will help you slow down, observe nature more closely, and build confidence in sketching what you see.

Led by local naturalist and sketcher Adrian Porter, we’ll explore the river and its wildlife through a series of simple sketching exercises and short walks, finishing with time for a longer sketch session. It’s a mindful and rewarding way to connect with this beautiful chalk stream landscape.

About the leader:
Adrian Porter (a different Adrian Porter to CCSP manager!)  is a retired teacher, qualified Mountain Leader, keen birdwatcher and naturalist who uses sketching to enhance his observation of the natural world. He runs workshops to help others do the same and shares his artwork on Instagram: @porters.sketches.
