Find out more about the ‘Mending the Misbourne’ project and citizen science data so far!
A major new project to help restore one of the Chilterns’ treasured chalk streams is now under way. Mending the Misbourne is a five-year programme led by the Chilterns Chalk Streams Project, working with local partners to improve the health of the River Misbourne and help more people connect with this special place.
In this evening of discussions we will be showcasing work done so far since the Mending the Misbourne project was launched in April.
As well as revealing early results from a busy year of citizen science that has seen the start of 6 new survey types in 6 months, the talks will also cover progress on education and engagement events, farmer cluster activities, and restoration plans. It will be a great time to get together and celebrate what we have all achieved so far working in partnership, and to look to the future.
This free public talk is open to everyone – whether you are a citizen scientist wanting to find out more about how your data is used, already involved in action to mend the misbourne, if you are interested in getting involved, or if you just want to hear more about rivers!
