Join us on our ‘BioBlitz’ mission to record as many species as possible in one day!
This citizen science bonanza is based within the amazing habitats of Chorleywood House Estate Local Nature Reserve – including beech woodland, chalk grassland, ponds and the Chess a globally rare chalk stream.
Expect guided surveys and chances to get stuck in with everything from river life, bird spotting, and meadow surveys. This event is suitable for all ages and abilities – no expertise necessary but enthusiasm is very welcome!
The day will be a free drop in event, so you can come for as long as you want to. We will be running an event stall all day where you can get set up to survey independently, or join one of our programme of guided walks and surveys:
9am – Moth trapping
10am – Bird walk
10.30-3pm – Riverfly demos and ID
11am – Butterfly Walk

If you have any questions or if you are a species specialist or part of a survey group or organisation that would like to partner with us to survey any specific taxonomic groups, then please email chalkstreams@chilterns.org.uk as we would love to hear from you.
