A choice of routes to explore the Misbourne Valley
The River Misbourne rises above Great Missenden in the Chilterns National Landscape. It flows for 17 miles (27km) through Little Missenden, Amersham and the Chalfonts to Denham, where it meets the River Colne.
The ‘Walks in the Misbourne Valley’ leaflet contains three walks, varying between 3 and 10 miles which explore this beautiful valley.
Great Missenden Walk
This 3 mile / 5 km circular walk around Great Missenden takes in the source of the River Misbourne and explore its winterbourne section.
Traditional Chilterns Industries
A 4 3/4 mile / 7.5km circular walk through Little Missenden and Shardloes estate.
Paradise Regained
A 10 mile / 15 km circular walk visiting Milton’s Cottage, old Amersham and the Chalfonts.
