Did you know that fungi are not plants? And did did you know that the largest organism in the world is a fungus?

From breaking up organic matter and recycling nutrients, to providing some of the most important pharmaceutical substances for medicine, fungi are probably the most fascinating and least known of nature kingdoms.

Join us for a guided walk at Hockeridge and Pancake Woods on the border between Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

This is another great event funded by the Smarter Water Catchment Project: on the day, with the help of John Morris and Marina Muttik, we will discover how these special woods are managed and what fungi they harbour.

We can only offer 20 spaces, don’t miss the opportunity.
