For our February 2024 social evening in Chesham, we are excited to be welcoming Nick Marriner and Harriet Bennett, Landowner Engagement Officer and Land Management Officer from the Chalk, Cherries and Chairs Project at the Chilterns Conservation Board.
Nick and Harriet will share their work over the last 4 years working with a passionate group of farmers in the Central Chilterns Farmer Cluster.
They will tell the story of the cluster group, how it came about, what its been doing and how the Chilterns Conservation Board have provided support, sharing lots of exciting case studies of their chalk grassland and hedgerow projects, ecological advice packages and chalk stream restoration works.
Nick & Harriet will also discuss how they have supported new volunteers to carry out practical conservation work, ground breaking wildlife surveying and exciting work supporting young people to get their first experience of conservation.
